RE: Car Magazine
"MAX POWER type site" ??
How did you come to that conclusion. Max power usually features people who just spent 500 quid on a rusty old nova 1.2 then 10 grand doing it up.... the site in question deals with proper cars. |

RE: Car Magazine
I will say that if this knockabout brings just a few more thoughtfull types to this site who can see the VOC's real value then we should keep this thing running.
Regards, Don.Norchi. And, don't forget that opinions are like arsholes... everyone has one. |

RE: Car Magazine
The site in question is www.volvo-t5.co.uk
As for opinions Don, aresholes are like opinions, most of them produce crap! VOC is a great place no doubt, but for specialised volvo's ie the T5 and newer cars the site above is THE best. Thats probably why it was mentioned as they target the T5. So, i'll say it again, grow up, get a life and stop bitching. |

RE: Car Magazine
Oh dear off we go again the big bitch fight, i thought everyone had grown up abit but obviously not.
VT5 and VOC are totally differant sites, i post on both and happy to help where i can. VOC has been running alot longer than VT5 but been at the younger age of the spectrum i find VOC to be abit stale at times and it makes a change to look at a differant site, but i wouldn't go as far as calling it a "Maxpower site" Just my take on things |

RE: Car Magazine
For what its worth, I find the 'T5 and newer' scene a bit stale. There's a good reason for that - the engines are hotter to start with, and as a result they have less 'headroom' before MAJOR work is needed. Pretty much the wildest road car out there only has a stock bottom end, a stock (but remapped) ECU system and a 19T turbo. The VOC has its moments if you know where to look...
The two fastest Volvos in this country (as far as I know) are both 1980s models. I also haven't see a 950bhp whiteblock motor anywhere in the world (although there is a circa 1200bhp 960 whiteblock currently being built). And yeah, making you register to view is daft. I followed a link to a thread on that board a while back, but couldn't be bothered to register just to view. I suspect the owners are worried about the bandwidth usage in case of an internationally popular thread...but c'mon...how likely is that to happen! cheers James
