Default Rev counter readings

Hello. I have got a 1968 1800S. Can anyone tell me what the rev counter should be reading at different speeds? For instance, what it should be reading at 60mph in 4th gear with overdrive engaged?
I have just had mine re-calibrated for electronic points and want to make sure it is now reading accurately. Thanks.

There are several online calculators that will work this out for you if you plug in the tyre size, differential final drive ratio and gearbox ratios (4th gear will be 1:1) but this still isn't going to be as accurate as using a multimeter (with the given function) and /or a strobe light (also with the given function)

Thanks for that.
Meanwhile I have had a private message from Volvonic272 but, ridiculously, I am apparently unable to reply to it until I have made 30 posts. So can I ask Volvonic272 (Dave) to call me on 07810 655646 sometime tomorrow? Thanks!

The 30 post rule is madness.

RIDDLERS55,
These might help,
15.9 mph per 100 rpm in 4th
21.1 mph per 1000rmp in overdrive top gear

XC90 - no it isn't madness: it keeps those merely wanting free advertising away. Join the club and build up your posts then you can do what you like (within limits!).
