Very nice garage !

Had some fun today and made a compilation. The engine had originally stuck piston rings (first two clips), managed to free them a little bit afterwards

Ordered four off Michelin Pilot Sport 4s (new tread pattern apparently) for £109.50 each. I’ll fit them myself saving 65 notes or so.

(I can’t keep warbling on about how good the French tyres are and then not take my own advice I suppose)
Then I need to remove the upper trim off the tailgate to prove the non-working high level brake light isn’t connected and then it’s MOT time on Wednesday.

I HATE MOT time of the year....

Bought my 4th Volvo. A big guzzler P2 2.4 Petrol SE V70. Picking it up within the hour and looking forward to wafting home like I'm sitting on my lounge sofa..

Changed 4 tyres, valves and balanced them, changed the transmission oil whilst I was at it; there's no way you can get in there without a fairly long tube and usefully, Volvo supply the oil in a very stiff and rigid rectangular bottle which can't get near the filler hole.
Let's see if selecting first when there's ice on the screen is any easier tomorrow.

Alas, sold my V70 P2 after 6 years of ownership and has gone to a good home. Replaced by a V70 2014 SE Nav D2 Powershift. Been driving petrol/manual for 35 years and this is a step into diesel/auto territory. So far, so good. But it is farewell to this forum and thank-you one and all for the past 6 years.
