V40 t2

i'm contemplating ordering a new V40 T2 manual for the wife.
only plan to keep for 18 months.

does anyone know the service schedule on these? the last new car i had was 24 months/18k miles (skoda superb) - although i did change the oil myself mid way through.
(i'm hoping to avoid a big service in the 18 months as will only be doing 8k miles pa).

secondly, will be used for mixed driving - 50% stop/start town commute, and then 50% A roads and motorway. i usually drive like i have an egg under my foot - (my other car is a 4.2 V8 so 90% of the time try and keep it as economical as possible otherwise the wife will make me sell it...

does MPG expectation of c.35 sound reasonable?

I have a 2016 V40 T2 automatic.

Service schedule is 12 months or 18,000 miles whichever comes first. The cost of the first service was £243 at Southampton Volvo.

Average mpg for me is around 40 mostly on rural A and B roads so I would have thought 35 would be a realistic expectation.

thanks Steve. most appreciated for the reply. thats good to know that you're doing c.40 with an auto. i wasn't sure if new volvo services were done on fixed annual schedules, or like VW where they are done on longer 18-24mth schedules with the car determining when it needed to be done.

I have a T2 2.0l manual R design and return about 40mpg depends on who’s driving
Long run up to Skye can push nearer to 50mpg if I behave
As said above £225 - £250 for 1st years service, think 2nd years service is nearer £350, quoted at time of purchase then £250 ish for 3rd year
