Default Emissions symbol

Hi

Emissions symbol came up on dashboard today. (Little orange engine sign). No message on the dashboard or within sensus.

Anyone know the level of urgency to head to the dealer?

Regards

Richard

tell me something... your car have short mileage right? brand new car and everything is fine... i mean in terms of driving all is in order, you don't see or feel any difference between before and after the symbol appeared right? it just appeared with no justification whatsoever am i right ?

Had this on mine at 16k miles, the dealer cleaned the oxygen sensor on service last October and it's never happened again.

They mentioned that it's not uncommon on the new D4 and D5 engines and usually clear themselves during a DPF regeneration.

Hi

Car has 14000 mileage. Feels normal. Light came on with no justification at all. And then this morning went off. The only thing that was a little odd was that having filled up the AdBlue at 12000 miles (and then driven to the Alps and back) the AdBlue warning came on at 14000 miles saying only 1600 miles until no restart. 3600 miles seems a little short between fill ups.

So Volvo Marshall Nottingham (I like them) took it in today to look at and also do the software update/recall notice. The cause of the emissions symbol turned out to be that a pipe to the power pulse system had split so 'air was being sucked into the system' and the power pulse system would not have been working properly.

So mystery solved. The car does feel a little more spritely this evening.

Or not.

Light back on today.

No warning, just the light.

Back to Volvo tomorrow....

At least you got the Power Pulse pipe fixed for now. Mine's gone 3 times.
