Default Electrical issue Satnav, parking, Audio and usb?

Hi Guys,
I had the dreaded windscreen bonding failure recently and at the same time developed intermittent audio issues, Ie Radio would only sometimes come on, sound was distorted, satnav would only occasionally work and usb would not charge. (now not working at all) I only had a few drips evident on the passenger side mat so didnt think it was too severe. Volvo re-bonded the screen FOC. and checked the issues described. They told me it was the Audio module under the seat and said it wasnt related to the water ingress and has just failed over time. They have quoted me £897 for a replacement. I was wondering if there was a way i could check that this was actually at fault or if there was a cheaper alternative solution.

Cheers Ian

Try another dealer one that didnt rebond the screen......

Water ingress to the module should be obvious from corrosion on pins etc

Might be able to get it repaired by someone like https://www.actronics.co.uk/ecu?gcli...0aAjV6EALw_wcB not a recommendation for the company they just came up on google

Thanks very much for the info, I hadn’t even thought of if it could be repaired.

Much appreciated

Ian
