From what I've been told, an ME9 ECU has 17,000 variables, so your trying to say that a piggyback ECU will monitor all of these?

Remap for economy
Was just wondering as it appears remapping comes in different output and stages, for a 2.4D (MY06) what would the price be for a remap where one is not looking for the highest output yet the remap that would provide most beneficial in terms of fuel economy ?
Anyone any experience with this ? What prices should I look at ? (This is obviously without even taking an insurance increase of premium in mind)

I read as far as page 3 wondering why no-one had mentioned Shark to some-one who lives in Notts.
Then I saw Quote:
It didn't happen in school, I doubt it will start now........... |

Cheers Mike, what are your experiences with an economical remapping if you have them yourself ? What I read makes sense that faster picking up the desired speed makes it more economical although I wonder if (since not using the full potential of the car as hardly driving faster than 65mph -75mph will be worth having it remapped ?

Having had both Mte and shark performance maps I can report that they are both good maps.I find that the rev range is lower and the power is earlier.I also find when dragging the shed I can be in another higher gear which is also saving fuel.in my opinion they are worth the money.as for insurance check first as some will not insure if it's over 20%. Power increase.l paid in the other car £ 65 extra.

Can I buy from you just the [MTE] software? I have the ipd interface and the 'MTE Vehicle
Identification' software. I just need the embedded software bundle that ipd/MTE send back to the customer allowing him/her to write the tuned software to his/her ECU. This is it:- "You unzip the tuned file that you received back from ipd/MTE and run the setup folder and you will get the MTE Softloader icon on your desktop, the files themselves will be in C:\Program Files\MTE\MTE Soft-Loader." I just want the contents of the setup folder! |
