Head unit to replace RTI
Hello,
I have this first generation XC90 with premium sound system, (6CD unit no AUX). The FM band is disappearing here in Norway, the RTI can't read the DVD and I'm running out of CDs, so it's time for an upgrade. However, I have not been able to find a suitable head unit. I want to pull out the RTI display and install the new unit there, so I can keep the CD changer and the MOST. So I am looking for a (not too expensive) solution with DAB, GPS, CANbus and the usual Android features. Most of the things I have found on the net lack some desired features and forum posts seem to be several years old. Any useful experience/ideas are welcome Geir |

Effectively, you can't keep both systems.
You might be able to install a new head unit complete though, either single or double DIN and get an adapter for the steering wheel controls.

It will be a lot simpler to fit a DAB to FM converter

Yes, probably. If the RTI had been OK that would be the preferred solution, had a look at some solutions from Dension that can put dab signals and other things on the MOST bus. Grom also has a similar solution, but none of them have GPS
