"The Volvo S90, V90 and XC90 also have a new display that lets you know if the interior air quality deteriorates. An icon on the 9-inch centre display touch screen changes from blue – which means that conditions are fine – to grey if, for instance, you open a window and unfiltered air gets into the cabin or you turn off the air quality sensor. However, air continues to be passed through the multi filter. It’s a gentle reminder that CleanZone is always watching out for your wellbeing.*

*This feature is available for: Model Year 2017 Volvo S90/V90/V90 Cross Country and XC90."

So no XC60.. However it may have been reintroduced for MY19..
My XC60 MY18 has it and it works very well. Also European market specs

You have the Interior Air Quality System (IAQS) on yours? Cause I don't- and maybe the display info was only included with the optional IAQS?..

Also, as mentioned by Lexman and Tem, there's something called "Clean Zone Interior Package" - not to be confused with the plain-Jane CleanZone which I have on mine (listed in the spec..)

I looked it up on my order sheet and at the time I specced my car the "IAQS with CZIP" has been offered as an option that only came with the 4-zone climate- the tick box I purposely left unchecked, as I didn't want my 3- and 5-yr olds setting their own temperature in the back The "normal" CleanZone (ie. no display info) is listed as standard on all trims (for MY18)..

XC60 T8 MY2019 it is a blue sign at the bottom of the screen of the cabin temperature screen, it goes clear if I open a window.

I am impressed that no smells gets into the cabin, even when following a car pumping out black smoke, (still far to often these days) and driving through Blackwell Tunnel non of the fumes gets into the cabin.

Although I did drive pass a cess pit lorry pumping emptying a cess pit the other day, smelt that and another smell got into the cabin as well, so was curious if the filter can only prevent certain smells penetrating the cabin?

My understanding of the system is that if it detects noxious fumes, it automatically goes into recirculation mode, thus blocking the air from outside.

Maybe it doesn’t class manure as noxious, or it was just too slow to block it in time.
