Default 2017 Volvo V90 sunroof

Hi all,
I have recently found out that my sunroof has been leaking for quite some time and now I need to replace it, as the cassette has some internal damage. I have Volvo Extended Warranty and it seems that, sunroof is not covered . So I have searched tinterweb and found sunroof form a 2023 model. This is a long shot but does anyone know of any differences between 2017 and 2023 sunroofs? They all look the same, but I am concerned there might have been some updates to connectors etc, which could mean it won't work with my car. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Cant confirm but you could check the part numbers to see if they are the same. My guess is that they are as they all appear to share the same sunroof. there are a few web sites you can use to see if the part number is the same. It takes a bit of digging but not impossible.

Update:
It seems that unit from 2023 model will fit my 2017. Which is a winner winner, chicken dinner. I picked up new to me unit today and drove 271 miles (round trip). I am not sure if I am was lucky or not, but it looks like it has a roller with it. This could be the best £200 I have ever spent. Will attempt install tomorrow, but need to set up a gazebo since I don't have a garage. Fingers crossed this will fix that leak. Do I need to get any sealant or seals before I proceed? I've never done this before.
Thanks

Default Update

So after getting some help form my neighbour we managed to get the new sunroof installed. Long story short, Volvo knows about this issue, since the new sunroof hasn't got sponge offsets and it is all a one big rubber drain. Also0 after install I had to reset sunroof, which you do by pressing down on the button, for about 30 seconds, make sure its position 1 and not 2. Once the sunroof starts to open keep your hand on the button do not let go, otherwise you'll have to start again. Ask me how I know 😅
Anyway, if you need any info, I will try to get some photos on and a video I took that shows exactly how it leaked.
