OBD2 throttle position sensor (TPS) value not reaching 100%
hi all,
I was doing a general OBD check on my car to check for any hidden or older stored codes. I did a short drive as well with some live reading to check for sensor readings and engine temps. all good, no codes and engine temps were nice and steady around 90C. what did cause my attention was the throttle position sensor (TPS) that did not indicate 100% when flooring the pedal. It was only giving around 87% at full throttle. is this just a sensor value or could it be that there is an additional 13% of power available due to the throttle plate not fully opening? |

In my case it goes almost to 100%, but thats from VIDA, not sure about generic readers.
