I was always under the impression lease vehicles had servicing included in the lease payment?
If so, just book it in for a service and don't worry about it!

If not, perhaps negotiate servicing to be included in your next one then you won't find yourself here :

Unfortunately I’m gonna buy myself a previous generation XC90 as we’re doing a barn conversion and we need to cut costs. It’s going to be tough going from a new one to a old one.

In that case, if you're doing a barn conversion do yourself a favour and buy a 7/9x5 - there is so much more room in one of those than an XC70/90, so much so that a neighbour would often come to me looking sheepish and ask if i could do a tip run for him because it wouldn't fit in his XC70!

If you have to have an older car, at least that gives you justification for it and you'd be amazed what fits in one of them!

Hi Dave,
What’s a 7/9x5?
Is it one of those big Volvo estates?
Can they tow my 1800kg twin wheel caravan?

Cheers. 😜

A 7/9x5 is a 745, 765, 945 or 965, all of which have a lot more room than the XC90 in the back.

Having towed a 660kg car trailer with a 1500kg car on the back with a 745GLE (badged 740GLE) i would say yes it would tow your caravan. However, if it's auto, add an extra ATF cooler to provide additional cooling for the gearbox.
