Default XC90 Tow Bar

A couple of tow bar related questions for the XC90 2020 Momentum.

1. I'm fairly sure the Volvo OEM fixed and retractable tow bars for the XC90 require bumper cut. Is anyone aware of an after market tow bar that doesn't require a bumper cut?

2. Should I stick to a Volvo OEM tow bar or will an aftermarket one be OK? In other words, do the electrics of an aftermarket tow bar exactly match the features and functionality of a Volvo OEM tow bar and electrics?

Yes, my factory ordered (but dealer fitted) towbar has meant the rear bumper is trimmed.

Admittedly it’s quite a neat cut, but still frusrating that it has to be cut in the first place.

The small bumper cut is hardly noticable and without bending down to actually look for it you will not see it, I recommend the Volvo towbar, it is neat and easy to use and above all it intergrates with the volvo safety and convenience systems and trailer light check system.

+1

I have the retractable tow bar on mine and you would not notice any tweak to the bumper up or down.
