What Steve is on about is that engine has the valves like teh 340 1.7 engine. The combustion chamber is in the piston.

Not the best engine and you are more limited on what cams you can use. I have used one of those blocks with the flat top pistons and a normal head ok.

The 240 ignition system will fit best to get a dizzy and module from a K jet car.

As Dai and Steve say, it's probably easiest to run the 240 ignition system, although I'm sure either that or Renix would work fine. The pickup on the 240 is a hall sensor on the dizzy, so you can do what you like with the flywheel. It might be an idea to run the Renix-pattern 360 flywheel, so you have the option to go back to Renix if you want. They're identical aside from the timing pattern.

cheers

James

When I did it I used the renix flywheel. Mine was a 230A but that shouldn't make any difference as far as ignition goes.
