The rubber is 2 parts, an inny bit (sometimes chrome, but also black both plastic, called the locking strip) and outer of rubber.

Take the inny bit out (careful pulling) then 2 people in the front seats, feet on the screen to push it out. Collect the outer bit of rubber as the windscreen falls forward onto the bonnet, smashing (or, have a third person catch it )

It is slightly more complex but this works if the glass is not cracked.
Inside
-Remove all interior trim around the windscreen (A-pillar panels, sun visors, rearview mirror, interior light & "black panel")
-Remove the metal cover on top of the dash in between the "plastic part of the dash" and the windscreen.
-Undo the 3-4 brackets clamping the rubber seal. (bottom of the windscreen)

Outside (1983 onwards)
-Remove the wiper arms.
-Slide the 2/4 (depending on year) "covers" to one side that cover the space between the trimpieces
-Slide a small flat screwdriver in the gap between the two pieces of trim and work it at one side under the deepest part of the trim.
-Slowly, in a seesaw motion and using a finger as a resting point for the screwdriver, work the trim out of the rubber seal.
-Repeat for the other sections of trim.

(pre- 1982) trim can only be removed after the glass has been taken out of the vehicle.

Inside
One can use the "foot" method but using three flat screwdrivers one can also take the windscreen out
-Stick the three screwdrivers, approx. 1 inch apart, near to where the rear view mirror hang inbetween the rubber seal and the carbody.
-Turn the middle screwdriver towards the windscreen (in a vertical twist) until it sits in between the body and the windscreen/ rubber.
While holding the center screwdriver in this position, repeat it for the other two screwdivers. The rubber in between the outer screwdrivers should "pop" over the edge of the body.
-Pull the center screwdriver out and place it about an inch further in between the rubber seal and the body.
-Turn the screwdriver towards the windscreen until it sits in between the body and the windscreen/ rubber. The rubber should "pop" a bit further over the edge of the body.
-Repeat these steps until the rubber seal at the top of the windscreen is completely in between the body and the windsreen.
Repeat these steps gradually and if possible "simultaneously" at the sides (A-pillars) of the windscreen. You will see that it becomes easier as the windscreen moves further and further out of the car.
-When only the bottom is left in a gentle persuasion will be enough to take the windscreen out.

Remember: gently does it, don't rush things.
I've learnt this trick from my panelbeater and haven't broken a windscreen since.

I'm a boot in the corner man and haven't broken any taking them out yet over the years.

I have on the other hand broke and old laminated windscreen putting it in, but the seal was dead tight and it was delaminating at the edges anyway.
