Sometimes I fear for the structural integrity of my V50 driving to work in Glasgow. I've had to take the keyfob off my car key as it flails around so badly going over bumps! That said, I've come from a wallowing Mercedes E-class so I'm sure I'm a bit more sensitive to the bumps.

Will second going down from the 18" inch wheels. I have a set of 16" winter wheels and tyres - not only are they more pliant and more fun to drive on, but they are much lighter which helps on the unsprung weight.

I must admit that when I finish off the tyres on my 18"s am going to look for a set of like new genuine 17" and run them instead. Much nicer to drive and better handling.
