Default HID fitting guide

Hi everyone

Just wondered if those of you that have fitted hids to your c30's happen to have a guide? fitted a few sets before so mainly wanted advice of where people have fitted the ballasts really.
Ive spent about 30 minutes searching various HID threads on here but they all seem to get straight onto the legality side & usually end in arguments.

So yeah if anyone can drop me info on where they used then its greatly appreciated

I look forward to seeing the guide too! There is one person who I know has done it on a v50, so similar setup I would imagine, no guide but some useful guide in the thread. - http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=157366

You sure you want to do that with those new MOT guide lines? HID means it will need headlight washers and automatic headlight leveling (the manual adjustment is too be deactivated). With HID and no self leveling etc. you'll fail.

I ran the ballast and error cancellors and place them up into the gap in the wing to keep them dry and cool. I have to plug the whole light cluster in first then I do this as the cables wont otherwise reach. I pull the ballast out from behind the cluster and up and to the side. You will feel a metal ridge which holds them nicely in place.

i fitted them last week mate, easy as pie!

if you get the really slim ballasts you can fit them in the headlamp.

i got the usual ones and mounted them just above the leadlight under the wing.. theres a metal shelf which is perfect for it.

just drill a hole in the back of the headlight covers and away you go!!
