2006 if memory serves right..
But easy way/the thing that you really need to know:

Check is there a yellow dipstick.
Behind radiator, down low, front of gearbox, accessible from above.
If there is one, carry on the way I wrote.

If there isnt,.. Well, I do hope someone will come up, as I don't have experience with those.

jumping in here.
Both fluids are OK to use.
Waiting for delivery of the eBay one will pay off since you're getting SO much more for your money-even if shipping is charged.

Fully agree.
The only thing you'd gain by going to Toyota is time- it is possible that you'd have some oil today.
But if you're OK to wait, go eBay.

That also gives you time to organise ramps, measuring jugs (or whatever you decide to use), funnel, hose..

Have you found the dipstick yet?

Small correction:
ThomasG suggested a copper washer for the drain plug. They are aluminum not copper.
When you reinstall an aluminum washer (serving the duties a gasket) you can feel it deform as you tighten the plug. The "crush" requires a shy 1/8 turn and is unmistakable. A copper washer (and I've used many in other cars' oil drains) is harder and just takes a nudge of the spanner.
If you use a copper gasket use the plug's listed torque value. I hope this doesn't scare you off.

Since you'll be doing several of these, buy them from an online source-possibly combined with other stuff. They're cheaper that way. You want 18mm aluminum. The wrench is 24mm.

Small suggestion:
If the car's right side (NS, passenger's side UK) is a tad higher than the other you'll get more fluid out.
This is dismissible as a niggling point but the idea is to get fluid out so why not?

One thing more popped into my mind..

At one stage, my gearchangrs were really bad in area of 10-20mph. Very light throttle at that.
I traced it to wrong measurements of air flow on intake, and that was caused by gunk in throttle body. All fine after cleaning, improved idling as well.
Mind that my car is petrol, so it may or may not be applicable to you as well.

Nevertheless, gearbox oil change is a must.
If you decide to have a look at throttle- its a bonus.
On petrol its dead easy, 40 seconds to get in, a minute to put back. Plus whatever time you want to take wriggling a piece of cloth around.

How is it in diesel, anyone?
