SPARE PARTS FOR VOLVO 740 GLE - 1989, Engine Model "E"

My Volvo 740 GLE has finally gone to the knackers yard but I have a number of spare parts for sale, gleaned over 30 years and having had the car from new. If you need any parts then contact me... For example: (a) 3 x wheels + tyres; (b) various light housings; (c) CR-702 Car Radio complete with code and Instruction book; (d) vary rare and new "Hall Effecr Transducer" in sealed Volvo packaging; (e) plus other parts... All are in the South Croydon area.

Wish you'd realised earlier that there are lots of people on here looking for 740 parts like light covers etc. Croydon aint far from me either!
Can you give me a price for the radio please, also price and description of the wheels/tyres please.

Also there is a thread somewhere to ask the mods to lift your ban on sending PMs, it's done to stop spammers i think!

Do you have the camshaft off the old engine? Was it a block or head mounted distributor?

Sorry, no camshaft and the Engine was model "E" - not sure but distributor head was easily accessible as I needed to change it when the Hall Effect transducer failed...!

The Hall Effect transducer was used in the block mounted distributors usually. The anomaly to this was often the GLE because it had K-Jetronic (mechanical) injection but the distributor could be mounted on either the back of the cylinder very close to the bulkhead or at the front on the left of the engine in the block.

If you could confirm which it is for the other person, i'm sure he'd find it helpful.
