Default Yeeehhaaaaa Service time again

mornin all

so the little orange service light popped on again the other day so following advice on other posting i thought go independent !!

yeah right, Lex in birmingham quoted £190 ish minus the oil that i will supply, so then called the local non-franchise garage off the member pages and they quote £190.

so the cost of any extra's will be more expensive cause of the labour charges to fit them but i intend to do the pads myself next time, so if the non-franchise garages charge so much less in labour how come the quotes are so close, does it take them twice as long ???

oh, and dont ask Lex for a C70 Convertible for a courtesy car, the lady on the phone burst out laughing and couldn't stop for the rest of the call, i wonder why :P

and we shall see if they have caught up with the towbar recall situation yet, its still in my garage awaiting replacement.

also, anybody else noticed that GTX has gone from 10w40 to 5w40 , wonder why ??

well thats my essay over with

cheers

scott

Perhaps that is just the castrol you looked at. I know you can get it in several grades.

What service are you having done by the way?

Later,
Dan.
