740/940 Diesel Wanted (Preferably Estate)

As per title, looking for a diesel Volvo,

Transmission not important, prefer Estate though would consider saloon.
Needs to be roadworthy ideally tax and tested.

Budget is £500. I'm based in West Sussex though can travel for the right car.

You'll have a job..we're all after one..well not all..but many, (at least tidy ones that have'nt been to the moon and back) are as rare as hen's teeth nowadays.
Best bet is to look for a 900 as there are one or two here and there that crop up for sale now and again, but beware, they are often overpriced and will be at almost double your budget..!
Still, I wish you well and good luck..you will probably need it.

Sorry it don't look much better than that..!

I think what you say is very true.

I like a challenge though and I'm sure there must be someone out there who wants their 940 to go to a loving home!

Absolutely..go for it.

Like I said, there are some around usually and almost exclusively now only in estate form.
If you have the time..you may come across one, may take you some time and effort though !

I recently bought a 760 D24Tic estate 177k but still quite tidy - could be tidier with little work - I paid £650.
