After a week of rain and driving on dusty roads, it was time to wash it. A clean car is a happy car!
Before: Q-tips are also great for use around the wheelknots were towels etc. wont clean up. Went a bit dark after I finished The only thing I find a bit hard to get clean is the silk metall(?) both out and inside... would like to have a product that would take care of that! I have used plain old WD40 on silk finished metals before, it degreases and polishes up to a nice shine without being too abraisive.

Can compare the XC60 to a bigger and more expensive rival that am driving alot;
2009 BMW X5 3.0d 211hp++ (orig, it has a Ac schnitzer chip) Power - The X5 goes like a stabbed rat while the XC60 just goes goes and goes with no drama at all, it takes a bit more time to get up to speed, but the Volvo is much more "frisky"... and it handles so much better! Comfort - The X5 rides on 19 inches and my Volvo on 20īs and the comfort is still better in the Volvo. Bumps are absorbed nicely, while the X5 is like a bath tub. Although the X5 has seats that can be moved in every angle etc (it has the comfort seats), they are stil not better than in the Volvo which are so comfy! Multimedia - I donīt have the RTI but I have tried one and it canīt be compared to the iDrive that BMW delivers. Sound - The Volvo is more quiet and has a very nice grunt when you hit the gas pedal, not to bad compared to the X5! Just a little comparison, and now some beauty: |

Lost the key-cover today (luckily I remembered my route and found it! I bet there is weeeeks of wait for a new one). Hope its a simple fix for the dealer, because its very loose! Have to attach it with some tape for now.

Prepped the car for the upcoming winter. Spent 6 hours in the garage yesterday!!
Last pictures with the 20 inches but Iīm looking forward seeing the winter tires on! Dirty car after a week of rain Equipment Dirty rims Auto Glym wheel cleaner seemed to work great. Mmm nice and clean! The rims are going to an "hotel", lol, so they will get a full clean inside too so they will be like new next summer. Before 3M tire restorer After, like new! Better to get the simple dust now than have a hell of a work in 3 years. Waxing Remember to get some wax here too! Yep, you havenīt cleaned there before? Do it. Winter floor mats... donīt like the look but okay... a treat to put the nice on in when its summer again. Done! Last edited by VolvoXc60; Oct 12th, 2010 at 17:41. |
