Default Passenger seat - Can only flip 'comfort' seats?

Hi all,

Tried searching but couldn't find an answer.

The manual states the passenger seat can be lowered fully as per the attached instructions, however the caveat is it only applies to 'comfort' seats.

What are 'comfort' seats?

I've checked and there's certainly no levers so wondered which versions have these 'comfort' seats and how they differ to mine.

I have an R-Design with full electric driver seat; the passenger seat only has electric lumbar control.

My SE Lux with the leather seats has this.

They're not large levers, more like small metal sticky out bits. You probably wouldn't notice them normally, but you'd see them if you looked at the base of the passenger seat.

If you don't have them, I presume the comfort seats are the SE versions rather than the R Design.

Useful. Never realised the seat did that. Mind you I've only had the car 6 years!

Interesting. I wonder what it is about the R-Design seats that means it can't be done. Side bolsters maybe?

Haha. I've had mine 6 years and only noticed the levers this summer when I was clearing the sweetie wrappers from the rear footwell!

And I've only just used it a couple of days ago to fit in some step ladders without having to fold the rear seats.

My MY17 XC60 R Design didn't have this feature. I assume it's the bigger side and though bolsters that prevent it

Had it on my previous V50 SE Lux and TBH, only used it once
