Default Fitting rear quarter window trims?

Hi All,

Can anyone explain / offer a procedure for adding the little quarter radius chrome trims the go around the bottom of the rear side windows?

The window is in place with the seal around it, but minus trim. Does the window need to come out to fit?

Hi,
you will have seen the holes in the trims to fix them, and thinking about the trim in position you will notice these holes only can be reached removing the glass and seal. You might succeed in sliding the trims under the seals and let them stick this way, but I don't know somebody who did it this way.

Thanks Nullifie, I have ordered the trims but don't yet have them so had not been able to examine the fitting.

Are screws or other clips required to secure them?

I have seen small flat srews and rivets used, both will do, but I would prefer srews for being able to determine the tension the trim is pressed to the body with them. No clips needed. New trims could be without holes.
