Thule roof rack

I've posted this in general wants but it is kind of 340 technical (from my point of view) - although apols if people think I'm stretching the point a bit.....

Anyone help me with this? I've got a Thule System 1050 roof rack that fits my 340 (I've even got the Thule instructions). Just dug this out of my dad's loft along with a bag of bits for a Paddy Hopkirk inverted cycle carrier (roof mounted model), but no instructions for that. This stuff all dates from about 1982 and we used it when kids to carry bikes on the then family car. When my dad got rid of that car and got one without gutters it all went up int he loft for the last 15 years.

Having found it I want to set it up on the 340 but the rub is I can't for the life of me work out how the Paddy Hopkirk cycle carrier parts connect to the Thule roof rack! Does any one have any ideas, old instructions they woudl be willing to send me?
