Starting problem 360 GLTi , '87
Hi All
I'm have problems starting in the wet, however, I have a very good spark/current. Noticably, I can't start at all after a very short run from cold (i.e after 2-3 mins). This leads me to suspect the fuel system as opposed to the ignition? Any help would be appreciated. Regards fubar |

RE: Starting problem 360 GLTi , '87
I would start by checking the cheap things, like is the fuel filter OK. Change if in doubt. Two new filters one at the pump end and one at the fuel rail end won't cost the earth and probably need doing anyway.
Then its into checking things like fuel pressure which needs a meter to do, or checking spray pattern of injectors. When the car does start, does it run OK or is it spluttery, sound as though its overchoking etc. It might be a faulty cold start injector or switch but you said its main difficulty is after a 2 minute run. Its puzzling. |
