Default Got the ‘new’ car, here are some pictures.

Just picked up my new (to me) car.
Needs some odds and ends sorting, main one is the drivers door latch that’s misaligned.
Was flicking through the displays and noticed it’s showing ‘engine service urgent’. Gulp! Missed that on the test drive! No warning light and no limp mode though. I’ll see what vida makes of it tomorrow.
The car goes really well and sound great with a heavy foot!
Got to work out what an annoying flashing red light is on top of the dash when giving it some beans.
The cruise control will take a bit of getting used to as well, not used to one speeding up and slowing down as traffic dictates.

It’s not got a handbook with it, so I’m likely to be asking daft questions if I can’t find an obvious answer online.

Made up with it though, despite it needing a little more than I initially thought - it’s a 170,000 mile 10 year old car after all, so was never going to be without faults.

Health to enjoy.

You can download the handbook from Volvo website. Its an online type document rather than just loading through a PDF.

Very similar to mine-I'm thrilled with it after 5 months, despite the nasty surprise of rear shocks going-expensive Volvo self levelling-gulp-£1500! Still, like yours it's 10 years old and mine's on 173000 miles now.

As is normal with me, it’s now in a thousand pieces 😂.

Got the door latch working properly only to find the central locking motor is dead on the drivers door, so the complete locking mechanism is now laid out in my office come shed waiting for a new motor to arrive from China. At least I’ll be able to get on with the servicing work whilst I can’t use it. For a diesel car I can’t believe how well it goes, this door lock issue is something I didn’t count on, but fortunately I’m handy with the spanners! Also vdash is busy decoding the CEM at the minute 😂

I'll get some pictures then, and bore everyone as to how much of a pain in the backside removing the locking mechanism is!

That's a good looking car. A progress threead would be cool too.

I've just done my rear door with the Chinese motors. Took about 3 hrs in total but saves a small fortune.

I used the VolvoSweden youtube vid as a guide.
