Default Roof bars V70 08>Part 31664413

Looking for some decent roof bars for 2011 V70 P3. These are the type which protrude outwards beyond the roof rails.

Lots available new ranging from basic, square Halfords bars to proper posh Volvo / Thule aero bars that sit down between the existing roof rails. It really comes down to what you want to spend but I got a pair of Halfords square bars for my V50 from Marketplace for £20... and they fit on the V70 too with only minor adjustment. I've actually got two set, one set has the bike racks bolted to them so I can lift the whole lot off in one go and swap them over to the other car - saves taking the carriers off when I need to carry a ladder or a body etc on the other set. I think they were a fiver from my local breakers.

Thanks Dave.

Haven't checked Marketplace yet, and didn't think of the breakers. Good calls!

I guess the requirements are:

1. Used. Good quality used is a better deal than mediocre quality new for about the same price.

2. Width must be in excess of 1220mm so I can safely tie down an 8x4 sheet of ply, if I so desire.

This is sorted now. I got some used Thule bars at 127cm. Modified the rear one to fit by extending the bar to clamp slot by 4cm each side.
