V70 D5 Non Starter
Basic info
2003 V70 D5 163bhp My car will not start at all no matter how long its been cranked, I've have 1 injector replaced and fuel filter at xmas which rectified the problem. Since then the starting issue (worse when upto temperature) has spiralled out of control to the stage I am at now where it just won't start. Rear electric tank pump functions correctly, however there is no pressure at the rail during cranking. Anyone got any advice? Many Thanks |

You mention the electric pump is ok but I would still try removing the short rubber pipe feeding the high pressure injection pump then switch on the ignition and see if fuel is being delivered , you can do this test in about five minutes and it then rules out a blockage , it comes out as a trickle on mine but still starts first time . You can replace the crimped clip with a jubiliee clip but I have not replaced mine yet and its not leaking at all . You also mention no pressure at the rail , what fault codes are you getting ? Failure of the high pressure injection pump is unusual on a Euro 3 D5 engine .
