Vovlo 240/740 rare alloy wheels.
There were taken from a 740 hearse and are very rare. Ive never seen another set but im told they were originally fitted to early 740 GLE's although ive no idea how true this is. They have been refurbished and powercoated but have had a little use and have the odd kerb mark and could do with a good clean due to storage and brake dust but they still look gorgeous. I just with I had a 740 or 240 to for them to!
They come complete with the chrome centecaps pictured, although they arnt in the best of condition. I do have a better set that have the VOLVO emblem that will go with them. I was asking £100 for them but due to the lack of interest im open to offers, even silly ones. I dont bite and I really want to see them dissapear from my shed and find their way onto a nice 240/740. Id prefer collected but I can arrange couriers at cost.

Coo, nice; bugger to keep clean, mind!
Where in Stoke (for Google maps) so I can calculate the mileage? Regards, Nick. |

I'm pretty sure these were available for the 740/760 until 1984, but the date-code would reveal the truth.

After 1985 the 760's seemed to swap to the Rigel rim, again a 6 x15inch rim. A truly rare rim that i've never seen in person, is the 6x15 Pegasus rim, found i think mainly on 780's. |

Hi Chesh,
A few weeks ago somebody showed a picture of these wheels fitted to their 240 and I looked them up. At the time Tim mentioned that he had a set of these available. The part number is shown in one of Tim's photos above, which you will find is 1330475 if I have read it correctly.

Yep 1330475 is the part number thats listed in my 700/900 series Accessory Catalog.
No doubt they were probably an option for 200's as well, alas I'm not as well versed on my 200 series as i am on my 7's and 9's. |

In the boot of my 780 were 4x Rigel's with (crappy) winter tyres.
