Unbeliever............ do you mind me asking the cost of the "Partially Colour Code Wheel Arches" please. I have an active on order and asked the dealer about colour coding the wheel arches & they said it was not possible. Thanks

As I understand it all cars invoiced/ registered after 1st Jan 2010 will be back at 17.5% VAT. This appears to be starting to become an issue with late December delivery dates being quoted.

Hi Buck Rogers, Im being charged £434 and there using new parts. It's the only bit on the active i have a problem with.

Yes ChrisE it seems that people are becoming aware of the VAT increase on the 1st of Jan so there's been an upsurge in people trying to beat the deadline.

If i'd ordered two weeks earlier, i'd be looking at a late October del date instead of late Dec.

Hi,

I have just ordered a manual Active with metalic paint from Taggarts in Motherwell and they have been quoted a delivery time of...................MARCH!!

They are checking with Volvo to confirm this but that seems a long time.

Ordered a new XC90 D5 Active Geartronic from a leasing company. Placed order in early September and it is a factory order not a stock vehicle.

I don't need the car till mid November but have been told the car should be ready mid October and they will keep hold of it till I'm ready to take delivery.......doubt the car will be with them long before I need it judging by most recent posts.

Graham

No I did not order from Taggarts, would have liked to as it is about a mile from my home, but could not justify the costs difference.

Hopefully you are not worrying that you have now paid over the odds,. I was looking at a lease or PCP not a traditional purchase. Taggarts may not be that far away on straight purchase I just found them way off the mark on personal lease / PCP.

.................anyway not always a good idea to do much research on this and find out that you coudl have purchased something for X when you have just committed to buy somehing for X + £5k

Think the salesman was Malcom but could not be sure.

I am on a lease deal as well, £348 per month for 3 years with 10k per year. It seems to be the same deal that is all over the internet at the moment.
