Default Deleting entries in Phonebook

I am currently using a Nokia E51 connected via Bluetooth on the XC60. As the system does not automatically upload (and/or renew) my phonebook, this has to be done manually, one-by-one. No problems there.

But how do you delete an entry?

A collegue has a new number..... now I have both entries in and trying to find info on how to delete (other than deleting the phone from the system) an entry seems harder than finding a needle in a haystack!

Any idea's welcome and appreciated.

I suspect you'll need to delete the pairing and re-pair

I think that the e51 should sync automatically with the XC60. I used to use the Nokia E Series and they sync'd all the time with other kits that were not as good as the XC60. As I recall there is an option in the menu structure that allows remote access to the phonebook - maybe worth a look?

ah, if your phone does download contacts to the car, check the option under Menu/Bluetooth/ synchronise automatically (or some such thing).

Yes, there is an option in the phone system to sync. But even though the display says its doing it, it actually does not work. A quick look at Volvo's Bluetooth page confirms this.

I think the best bet is to delete phone and re-enter it.

Not sure if the XC60 is the same as the XC70, but I've had several different phones connect via Bluetooth (Nokia, Samsung, HTC & iPhone) and if you press phone then either (can't remember which) the down button or the right button it listed the whole phone book without importing it, the other button lists the last 10 dailed numbers.

I'll have a play with it tomorrow (or is that later today looking at the clock) and make some better notes.

I belive this only works if the phonebook has been imported

Default Deleting & adding new numbers to s80 Sensus

I have an s80 2015 and installed the phone book some time ago from my ancient Samsung S2 with no problem.
I now need to add more contacts and edit & delete others. I deleted my phone from the car and then re-entered the updated phone book (or so I thought).
The new updated phone book which appeared on the car was the old phone book with no changes. What did I do wrong?
