Wiper upgrades - Bosch Aerotwin
Thought I'd post this just in case anyone else runs into problems retrofitting Bosch Aerotwin wipers to their S60 I. Maybe just me being a muppet, but here's a general warning - beware the compatibility tables on sites like Amazon.
Amazon steered me towards the Aerotwin AP21U and AP24U, but the fittings on these are not compatible with the hook ending on the wiper arms of my car. After much faffing about I managed to find the ones that do fit - the AR21U and AR24U. Makes me wonder if Volvo fitted a couple of different wiper arm types to the mk1 as the 'AR' version are listed as compatible with the 2.0T on some of the ebay listings, but incompatibler with my 2.5T (even thought they have turned out to fit fine). It was worth the effort as the Aerotwins outperform any other wiper I've tried, but I'm a bit out of pocket having bough the wrong ones in the first place. Hope this is helpful! |

Yep good blades but next time check out Wipac Storm x range.
Got 'em on my 90 just as good as the Bosch's but a 3rd of the price if you know where to buy them .

Popped the Bosch blades on my 67 plate V60. Car is 11 months old and the Volvo ones were smearing away already! I can thoroughly recommend the Bosch blades however next time I'll have a look at the above.

Trico blades.
Had bosch after bosch go crappy too soon, so went to the creator of wiper blades instead, much better! Lasted years and performance stayed consistently decent. |

Where are you guys getting the wiper blades from?
I always buy from euro car parts in their never ending sales online, the last set I bought for my 360 came to £7 for Bosch super and the same for 940 came to £9. |

I've not come across the Wipac storm ones, will keep an eye out next time. I have to say though, it's worth shopping around for the Aerotwins if you think they're too expensive. I bought the ARs for a tenner apiece on ebay, brand new.
