Works fine for the grandchild. Content gets more tedious with time though, getting to the point that I'd rather hear screaming than more teletubbies.
We're off to Northumberland so we're aiming to leave at 9am to hopefully miss all the A38/M1/A1M traffic. Teenage grogginess is still a distinct possibility though.

Putting the iPad on a headrest means that the child in the far seat can't see the screen, hence the idea of fixing it between the front seats so it's central. We try to ensure they either watch the iPad or read a book rather than stare, head-down and neck bent, at a much smaller phone screen.

Don't like that thing between the seats at all!

I've got a 'triangular' folding stand/case for my iPad I'm typing on right now and even allowing for the bumps would probably be fine on my knee.., although again, in a collision these things could go flying! It might slot into the seat pockets on the back of the front seats though..
The iPad is purely for movies, not games, so reach isn't an issue.

I had a very robust iPad holder made to clamp onto microphone stands in the Discovery, it fixed to the headrest grab handles and was perfectly adjustable for viewing for all 3. It's the "un-movability" of the XC60 head restraints that has me stumped.

Damn safety features...

I have a similar issue to one originally posted about here with 1 ipad but 2 toddlers wanting to watch it. Therefore am looking at some way of both being able to see it at once, so the neoprene options round the headrest don't work

I'm hoping that one of you found and are able to share your solution please

Many thanks in advance
