Erratic idle when coming to a standstill
Good day all
I recently bought a little C30 2.0 and I must say I love it. Have been wanting one for years (well probably more the T5, but hey, can't have everything). I just want to double check something though, when slowing down at an intersection or the like, when engaging the clutch and coasting the last bit before coming to a complete standstill, the revs seem to fluctuate quite a bit. I'd guess between 400 to 1000RPM. Once stationary it settles down and idles normally. Once when doing some "spirited" driving I had to slow down a bit quicker than normal and the car actually stalled. Would this be considered normal or am I maybe doing something to cause this? Thanks, R

Could be various things - certainly not right; it should settle down smoothly, not bounce.
Starting with the easy ones, have you cleaned the throttle valve recently? Dirt stopping it opening and closing smoothly can cause these symptoms. David
