Default Under dash pads

The driver's side lower dash panel (above the pedals) is somewhat adrift on my 2002 C70.

Not wishing to make matters worse, can anyone tell me how to remove this panel to see what the problem is - i.e. where are the clips ?

Once removed, I'll be able to see any broken clips etc. Then, it's a matter of sourcing new ones.

Any help greatly appreciated .........................

Yep. It's supposed to be held on by a single Torx screw directly below the steering wheel shroud. At the back the whole plastic shelf is located in two white plastic clips that are screwed to the central tunnel on the one side, and the plastic footwell side panel on the other. They can be a *@2#** to put back properly, so lots of times people don't bother.

If you undo the Torx screw and drop the tray down, with the aid of a good torch you'll see what I mean. It could also be that the Torx screw is missing, or the receiving thread damaged. In that case you might need to get a bit creative will a drill and a self-tapper.

Cheers

Jack
