Default T5 and 2.5 850 gear box's

Hey people,
I'm sure I read there the same but I'm not to sure as when I done a clutch change i was told the 2.5 clutch would get munched up.
So can the 2.5 manual box go on the T5?850 T5 and 2.5 95-96?

Reason for asking is,Im going to be putting a t5 in a 2.5 and I know people ask more if you want the gear box but Im thinking if the 2.5 fits why pay more?
But then I guess the clutch is a issue as there £150 minimum,so might be worth me just putting the extra for the whole engine or even getting the whole car?

Your opinions and what you would do would be appreciated.

Oh,
Ive done this engine swapping in many cars, never a t5 though and you normaly have to change the suspension,is the 2.5s suspension up to the job for the power the t5 push's out?
Thanks guys and as always, your advice is appreciated.

Changing the mechanicals will be the least of you problems the issues will arrise from the electronics.

My advice is go and buy a T5.
