Default Odometer repairs on 1975 245

Hi. My odometer stopped working years ago and I've read many articles on repairing the gear teeth that appear to the usual cause. So I've stripped it and found the small white gear that has split. The problem is that this particular gear has 17 teeth which I am guessing was standard on the early 240's. Trouble is that all the web sites that now remanufacture these gears are all stating everything but the 17 tooth gear? Does anyone know where I could get one please? Many thanks

This USA website says use the later one.

http://www.240turbo.com/240-odometer-repair.html

However it shows your 17 tooth type lower down the page - 'found on 1975 240's in the UK' so maybe it's an exception.

Try contacting Dave Barton for advice.

Hi Geoff here is the picture of the actual gear wheel. Would be great if you have one rather than buying from the USA and waiting weeks

Hi Geoff regrettably these are as you say later model gears but thanks for having a look. I'll have to order from the USA. Cheers
