Default For Sale 02 V70 Subwoofer

Hi, I'm selling the Genuine (& I've been told quite rare?) Volvo Subwoofer that came with my car. I've never fitted it and can't ever see myself wanting it so thought it may as well go. It's got the original carpet cover & I believe it could/should just plug and play (again assuming the car has the wiring in place). It's big and bulky so collection (Chester) unless you want to arrange your own courier and I'll wrap it best I can. Open to cash offers.

Not buying, already got one!

Thought this would help though, they should be plug and play in the prefacelift cars, as long as the connector is floating around the centre of the boot, possibly taped to the metalwork. All I needed to do was fit the fuse in the rear fuse box and it sprang to life.

I'm picking up an XC70 next week and if it is pre-wired for the sub I will be very interested.

What sort of price are you looking for? I could easily drive over to Chester to collect.

Question

Where does this fit, within the boot space?

Don’t want to take over the OP’s thread...

But....

It fits in place of that funny plastic tray that is usually under the boot floor. Will only fit if you have a space saver spare wheel.

It wasn’t too obvious that I’ve been on the wine was it?

Also won’t fit if you have the 3rd row seats in the boot as I’ve just found out 😢

Now whose selling a boot floor?

It’s not impossible to retro fit the sub woofer loom if your car doesn’t have it. My XC70 didn’t. I spent a happy couple of hours picking a loom out of a car in a yard then put it back in place in mine. All good, except the signal wire to tell the sub to turn itself on doesn’t actually work. If I earth the signal wire all is good, but I’ve not yet had the time to figure out what’s going on and how to fix it.

Kids are 23 and 16, so no need for additional seats these days. Don't have them in tis one anyway.

I do have the plastic tray for the shopping bags though, so I think I will keep it as it is.
