Coming along nicely. Are you going to replace the cowl panel as well?. They are inexpensive and relatively easy to do. Your existing one has had a mediocre repair in the past and it would be a shame not to while you are in there.

Nice work, she's looking great.

I'd recommend using Lechler's epoxy primer on all the panels. You can leave it in primer until everything is ready for top coat and know you won't get any rust issues in the meantime.

Hi ya

Very nice to see another amazon estate being worked on , until you work on a estate you cannot epreciate the amount of work that goes into the project lot more complex than a two door I can see how much hardwork you have done keep us posted and all the best ....

Look forward to any photo updates as and when you get to the next stages , if there is any amazon estate parts you require let me know I have a ton of spares for the estates.

Kind regards
Robert.w

Yes, good luck! To keep her rust-free in the front/sides, I recommend inner-fender liners for about $400. They are easy to install and having taken one out after several years, they seem to work. There are at least two types to choose from. mine are aluminium - I think others on here have tried the other type, which seems better, buy I can't remember why.

Mine is lowered, but this year I finally put mud-flaps on, as the damage down below was showing.

It is rewarding to resto an old Estate - nice to see.

Hi Jim, hope all is well.

you mention the "other" inner fender liners. I've been considering the Lokari aluminum ones, but would think that plastic ones would be better. Any idea where they might be available for an 1800?

Cheers

Ill have to do some further investigation

Yes it was me who first used the 200 series ones on the amazon. The are not a perfect fit but for free well worth using. You need to put the rhs one on the lhs and vice versa.

For the rear am going to have a go with 940 rear ones. I think with some work with a heat gun they might fit.

Dai, why not just make rear ones? Would be easy enough to make from fibreglass.
