Towbar info needed for C70

HI

Im due to get my C70 onto the euro highway...since doing 10,000 miles in the old 740 it has alot to live up to......I need to get tow bar so we can pull the trailer tent.....they all seem very expensive......yet ones for other models seem alot cheaper.....does a v70 or s70 fit a c70???????

Please help

Hi,

A quick look at the Towsure site does not list a C70 bar, and the one for the S/V70 states 'not for C70'. So, presumably not.

The Witter site quotes part number VL38 for the C70 - the same as for the V50 04-07!
Has anyone used the Witter VL38 on a C70?

Surely that will be the new C70 if its showing the same as V50?

I sent the following private message to achapski, but as he did not respond I will post it here in case anyone else is interested:

I have available a Towsure VL716e towbar kit. I bought this second hand from a VOC member last year to fit to my V70 but the need disappeared and it was never fitted.

The heading on the fitting instructions refers to V70/S70 97-2000, but the guy I bought it from had it fitted to a C70, which I believe has special wiring sockets in the wheel well. It has twin sockets.

I am asking £80, the price I paid for it, but it would need to be collected from Farnham, Surrey.

You could check with Towsure on its suitability.
