What is my s60 worth?

Hi everyone,

We are currently wondering what is our Volvo worth and we're hoping you guys would be able to give us a clue of it's monetary value. We've got an S60 D5 SE auto. It's a 2002 and we are it's 3rd owner where the 1st one was a dealership. It has 78k miles with excellent service history and 11 months of MOT. Cream leather seats, front seats heated, just serviced. Has the premium audio system for the year. Navy blue colour, paint isn't great but is quite good for it's age (just a couple of tiny parking dings), no rust. I'm in no rush of selling but just wondering what it is worth as I really need a bigger car, obv xc90

Looking through AutoTrader, there's a similar car to yours on a 2004 plate with 122,000 miles going for £1,295 in a garage (SE spec also). There's also a 54 plate SE spec with 118,000 miles going for just under £1,500 in a garage.

Your car has lower miles than these, but is older & garage prices are usually higher because they're offering warranties etc. I'd be inclined to think yours is worth around £1,000-£1,200 taking the mileage into account. You won't get much on a trade in, so best to sell it privately ideally.

Were I in the market, 'bb', I would look for an auto. I don't think that affects the car's desirability - its more a question of personal preference. I agree with 'Kev0607's assessment - it would be a nice car for someone at around a grand.

Its horses for courses.
When I was looking it had to be an auto, black leather and facelift.
Plenty of people want cream leather and manuals and wont be fussed about facelift.
Get it on ebay with £1000 reserve.
