That is a cute little thing. I suspect the restoration work is better than when it originally left the factory - it does look very, very, well done.

One thing that spoils the overall look is the rusty staining on the engine. Not being a pre-war man, is that 'normal' or a sign of issues to resolve?

Steve, you know you want to.

Very good spot ITSv40, and on the video clip from Matthewsons, he does remark on it being most likely weeping head gasket. Whilst they are obviously there to sell motors, it was reassuring that it was pointed out, so gives one a bit more confidence that the other stuff they mention may have a semblance of truth. Perhaps I’m just cynical of course

Yes I would like that very much, but I have a hunch that it will go over the upper estimate as it looks such a good one.

I’m registered to bid, so if any chance the rumours that pre-war stuff has no demand then I may bag a bargain… unlikely I fear. Id guess it will go for £12k upwards???

Cheers

😀😀 Says the chap who I recall brought Margo to my attention, so I have had the benefit of Moomoo advice before. Still start her up every few weeks and I can’t wait to get going on that project.

Cheers

Yes, I did wonder about head gasket, but with everything else looking so well done a little strange that there would be an issue. I must admit I didn't watch the video, just looked at the photo's. The quality of workmanship really does look superb.

p.s. Good luck with the purchase.
