Default head torque b200f

Hi, just looking at head torque for my b200f 940 '92.

I don't have a manual (WSM) so I rely on the web.

Some say values are 14 ft lbs, 43 ft lbs then + 90 degrees.

I saw a very good youtube video which showed... 15, 29, 43 then... SLACKEN 90degrees and re-tighten 43 ft lbs

Interesting.....

Any advice please? Regards Ken

Recommended:

Stage 1: 15 lbf ft or 20Nm
Stage 2: 43 lbf ft or 60Nm
Stage 3: Angle tighten by 90degrees.

Bolts sequence is: 7 3 1 5 9 from Front, exhaust side
8 4 2 6 10 from Front, imlet side.

This might be useful to you then :

https://www.volvoclub.org.uk/faq/EngineMechanical.html

Many of the articles are USA derived and i believe the B200F wasn't available stateside so use the references to the B230F (NOT the B234F ) for yours.

This will cover most of the mechaincal stuff including the B200F engine in your 940 :

I know it says for the 740/760 but the early 940s were very similar. Ye, there will be some differences but a post on here should clarify those, for the most part it will cover your normal needs of a Workshop Manual - don't be tempted by the later Haynes "Service & Repair" manuals for the 740 or 940, they're as much use as a chocolate fireguard!
