Volvo Selekt Warranty
Hello,
Quick q i am hoping someone can help with. Bought a 2016 XC6O with 26K miles last November on Volvo Selekt programme. Have had an issue with clutch sticking. Dealer sent video this morning advising 6 hours to take out the gear box to look at the clutch to identify the issue. Does anyone have any knowledge of where i stand with the warranty on this - car has done 10k since bought. Thanks in advance |

I don't think clutches are covered as they're classed as a wear and tear item unfortunately. If it's been doing it since you owned it and you reported it that might help your case

Supprising what is not covered in the selekt warrentee, an awful lot in my experience.
Slave cylinder failer is a known issue on these cars. I would never pull a gearbox and put the same clutch back in, and would check the dual mass flywheel very carefully before reuse. But that's me, you may think differently. If it's not covered then why use volvo, find a garage that will do it cheaper. It's a clutch change, nothing special about it. When I enquired about changing a clutch on my P1 V70 dealer said it was 5 hours on the book. Nearside suspension leg and drive shaft has to come off then the frame comes in from the side and the gearbox is pulled back to expose the clutch. I have changed a drive shaft on the drive in an hour and recon any competent garage should change the clutch in 4 or 5 no problem. Paul. |

clutch at 26K shouldn't fail & I'd be surprised if it wasn't covered.
Have you read your paperwork as t what is & isn't covered.
