Default First problem - Central Locking

As per titel, our 1 year old V40 D4 has developed a very strange problem with the central locking.

We have the Keyless system (not PCC or whatever it's called), this is what's going on:

1. Sometimes, left side rear door refuses to unlock using either remote or by touching the handle. The "clicking" sound is there though.
2. Sometimes, hatch refuses to unlock. using either remote or by touching the handle. The "clicking" sound is there though.
3. All other doors ok.
4. Sometimes, after a drive, the left rear door can not be opened from inside nor outside. Locking and unlocking the car using either remote or switch on door panel has no effect. Still same result.
5. In the Sensus system, doors are set to "unlock all" etc.
6. I have checked the switch for child locks and they are set not to be active

Other than this, the car is great!

Greatful for any input and/or ideas before calling the dealer tomorrow.

Thanks!

The car has now been with the dealer since Friday and no news other than "we can find it".....I have a feeling they may exchange the centrol door locking controller (or whatever the name of it is).

Hi. I have not had this problem but have seen it reported by a few on the other V40 forum. If you click this link then do a search you will find some info. It appears to be a common fault and therefore must be well known by Volvo.

Fault fixed. Volvo exchanged the locks on boot and rear left passenger door. Seems to work fine

Apparently, the part came from Sweden.
