Default New to Volvo, update screen

Hi all. Apologies if this has been asked I could only find threads with a good amount of assumed knowledge, that I don’t have yet.

I am new to Volvo and have just purchased a 15 plate xc60. It currently has a 5 inch display with no nav. I saw some posts about 7 inch displays and installing own nav. Is it possible to upgrade? If so is there some info I can read about it? E.g how, what parts and ideally any info of anyone offering the service.

Oh also I my car is showing a low battery warning. Should I ignore this or get a new battery? It’s just come from a used car dealer so has been sat for a month or so. Hoping that’s it’s piped up as it hasn’t been driven much but any advise would be great fully appreciated.

Connect a (smart intelligent) battery charger overnight to see if you can bring the battery up to full voltage before you do anything else

Surely if the battery is found to be defective it would be up to the dealer to replace.

Surely if the battery is found to be defective it would be up to the selling dealer to replace.

Amazing hanks. Do I have to go to a dealer to get the software updated or are there any 3rd party people that do this?

Also how do I tell if this will work for my car? I might be being stupid but I cannot see in the link a reference to which cars this applies too?

Only dealers and authorised independent Volvo garages have access to the necessary software updates
