Unhappy seatbelt light bleeping

Although I am wearing the seatbelt, the seatbelt light stays on, and incessant bleeping (sometimes a quiet version but mostly a loud version) ocurrs. Is this a big job to sort out? Is there anything (simple such as pressing a button??) that I can do as it is, quite frankly, doing my head in?!

Make sure there is nothing on the passenger seat, as that also has a sensor on it.

Hope that helps, it's the quickest answer I can think of

i had that prob on my xc90 a couple of times and that turned out to be a shopping bag on the front passenger seat.the sensors must be very sensative.
