Default Volvo Breakers (Ireland / Northern Ireland)

Does any1 know of any Breakers in ireland both north and south that specilise in volvo breaking?

Got a
2002 D5 163BHP (Nautic blue)
# full leather interior,
# Alloys
# Dual Aircon
# etc etc....

i want to sell for breaking, cant get more than £400 form a general breaker in northern ireland. ( I know parts value is easily worth alot more)

If i cant get a reasonable price ill , give it a go breaking it myself.( Fast Sell and easy to remove parts ) im no mechanic , nor do i have alot of space to put parts.

#######
Know Issue
Broken Injector Bolt In cylinder head, also has a broken screw extractor in it :s

Apart from this issue, car was running perfect, not burning oil, no knocks etc

#######

due to financial constraints dont have money to pay mechanic to take head off and get it proffessionally drilled.

Any one interested in parts email your interest to

aaron.regan2013@gmail.com

if i obtain enought people looking parts and willing to offer fair prices i will start breaking the car within the week

Cheers

There's a mobile mechanic / injector removal guy who will come to your house and possibly drill / rethread the hole. If you'd like me to pop round and see if I can do anything with it, drop me an email to AndyD345@btinternet.com

Be a syn to break the car over a minor issue (possible minor issue) as that

@ NI_Volvo_Nut

Is it yourself thats the Mobile mechanic, or is it someone you know?

ive asked around and i havent had any1 willing to tackle the job without the head being removed because there is a broken screw extractor in the broken bolt.

Going to try and remove the rocker cover this weekend, to see if that helps expose the broken extractor, as if i can get it out, then the drill/retap should be alot easier.

If you can remove the rocker cover then that will be your best option. All 5 injectors will need new seating kits installed otherwise they will chuff and leak. You will need a new rocker cover gasket too. I have an injector seat reaming tool (to clean the injector seats) and torque wrench (to correctly tighten each new injector bolt). The tool shop next to Elliot's fancy dress shop in town will have the correct Heli-coil kit (mine is missing the drill bit for m6 size bolts I think).

I've been there before so I share your pain!

Edit: injector mounting kit, 30650390 @£16 each plus vat. You'll need 5.

Well cars still off the road, had a few people out to look at the issue.

Tried to drill the broken extractor out without any joy. With the high miles on the car and the cost of replacing cylinder head etc. its up for scrap

if any1 needing parts, please let me know and ill get back to you with price,(or leave an offer)
