hi al
im getting 65 mpg in a new v40 d2, rural driving no motorway, 70 mile round trip anyone getting better?

That sounds pretty impressive to me especially with no motorway driving in there.... best I've ever got was about 61mpg on a run from Northampton to Leicester up the M1 at 70-75mph....

I have a heavy right foot. 57 is my best. It drinks diesel at full speed.

low to mid 40's in our D4 - doesn't do much in the way of long runs
and because i don't drive it much i like to hear that 5 pot growl !

Between 53-56mpg on a long run in our D4 GT. Avg is at around 42-45mpg so 100% acceptable.

Info centre reads 43.1mpg.

Not done any long runs yet. Planning a Germany trip later in year

thats drinking it , try 56 mph for 20 miles or so for some astonishing results
